The last year and a half has really gone by so quickly.
The first six months of Fritz’s life felt like they were consumed by unknowns with his head, neurology appointments and MRI’s. He is now down to one MRI every year, versus every six months and he will go mack to Neurology on August 23rd. His other Neurologist, ended his fellowship so we are meeting with a new doctor and it will be interesting. Fritz is hitting all of his milestones and is by all accounts a normal toddler. He is great at listening to directions and can get very spirited if he doesn’t get his way. He is constantly pointing and things and demands that we turn on the fan for him. At 18 months most kids have a vocabulary of 5-20 works and we are definitely in that ball park (you can also count animal noises as words too). At his 12 month checkup he didn’t want to point to his tummy or nose, but is now always showing us where his head it. He is obsessed with all things water at the moment and loves bath time. At 27 weeks pregnant, when they thought Fritz had Dandy Walker we didn’t know if we could get here. They told us to wait until six months to see if he would sit up (he did), then wait until 12 months to see if he would walk (he did), it still feels like we are waiting a bit for his development to halt, but I have a much better outlook than I first did!
